Leading figures in patient safety & justice become Patrons of AvMA

AvMA is delighted to announce that leading figures from the world of patient safety and justice have been appointed as patrons of the charity.

The new patrons are Professor Brian Toft, OBE; Baroness Masham of Ilton; James Titcombe, OBE; Dr Umesh Prabhu; and James Badenoch QC. Follow the links to read more about each of them, and why they are so supportive of AvMA.  They join Peter Ransley, founder and Honorary President of AvMA.

These roles are entirely voluntary and carry no formal responsibility for policy making and governance of the charity (these rest with the trustees). However, the patrons will have an important ambassadorial role for AvMA, helping promote it to the outside world, and  will provide expert advice on policy issues.
