“Cover ups” add insult to injury in Northern Ireland emergency pressures scandal

We have written to Northern Ireland Health Minister, Edwin Poots, calling for an independent urgent review of patient safety in Northern Ireland and the introduction of a statutory ‘Duty of Candour’.  The  move comes following unprecedented pressures on the emergency department of the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast, which have resulted in several potentially avoidable deaths.  For Full Press Release click here.
