Junior doctors’ strike
April 26, 2016There is a full junior doctors strike on 26th and 27th April. AvMA urges all patients / carers to be vigilant and do all they themselves can to help protect their own or their loved ones’ safety and avoid putting unnecessary pressure on NHS services if it can be avoided.

AvMA welcomes Ombudsman Report on GP Complaint Handling
March 18, 2016Speaking at a conference in London where the report will be launched, AvMA chief executive Peter Walsh will call for a more rigorous approach to supporting GP practices to conform with their statutory obligations for complaint handling and the Duty of Candour, and tougher regulatory action where GP practices fail to comply.
