Profesor Patel consults extensively in the field of Urology, with specific areas of interest in; Urological oncology/Laparoscopic procedures (‘keyhole surgery’); Robotics/Endourology; (Robotic Surgery), pelvic trauma and RTA. His key opinions have come from a vast clinical, academic and medico-legal exposure.

Professor Patel has been instructed by many legal offices, including Irwin Mitchell, Anthony Gold and Fletchers. He provides an average of 80 to 100 reports per year (60% Personal Injury; 40% Medical Negligence), and was the Recipient of the lawyer monthly – expert witness 2018 award in recognition of specialised knowledge and experience within the area of consultancy.
