It is with great regret that because of the ongoing situation with Covid, unfortunately the 32nd Annual Clinical Negligence Conference, which had already been postponed from June 2020 to April 2021 at the Bournemouth International Centre, has had to be cancelled, which is obviously a huge disappointment to us. As a result, the Golf Day warm-up event has been cancelled also.

The next face-to-face Annual Clinical Negligence will now take place at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds on 23-25 March 2022 and we hope to organise a Golf Day warm-up event at a nearby course on 22 March 2022. Watch this space for more details.

Golfers who had already booked their places to attend the Golf Day at Meyrick Park will automatically be transferred onto the next Golf Day in Leeds in March 2022, but if you are unable to attend then you can have your player fee refunded. As you will know, AvMA is an independent charity with no state funding and the income from fundraising events is vital to our charitable work. The lost income as a result of COVID-19 is a severe blow to us. If you do need to cancel a place you have already paid for, please consider whether you could donate part or all of the fee to AvMA. You can do that by simply notifying us that we can retain the fee you paid, or part of it, or donate online at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/donation-web/charity?charityId=1014801.

Description:

Meyrick Park, in the heart of Bournemouth, boasts a superb 18-hole golf course established in 1894. With a rich heritage, this is a course featuring some memorable holes that both established players and newcomers to the game will love to play.

Set within 120 acres of undulating scenic parkland, Meyrick Park’s 5,689 yards, par 69 course confronts golfers with a number of different challenges. The signature 14th hole is a distinctive par 5 with bunkers along the left and middle of the fairway. Once you’ve navigated these challenges, it’s a tough shot in between a tree-lined fairway to a slightly uphill green.

Every hole is different at Meyrick Park, which is one of the reasons it is such a popular venue. You’ll need a full range of shots to successfully tackle this course.
